Position Purpose: Participate as a team member in the delivery of substance-use disorder services to clients and their families. Facilitate the issues of recovery into client’s daily living situations. Provide program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field, or equivalent experience and training
    • Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC),or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance used disorder services.
  • Master’s Degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience with substance abuse population or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames prescribed
  • Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources
  • Certified Addictions counselor or be certified within 12 months

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Work hours prescribed by the Coordinator and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
  2. Prepare treatment plans and conduct treatment plan reviews.
  3. Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
  4. Coordinate all inquiries, assessments and admissions.
  5. Coordinate program marketing and contacts with referral sources.
  6. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with required rules and regulations.
  7. Maintain communications with all staff.
  8. Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
  9. Serve as a member of the Addiction Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  10. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct
  11. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  12. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
  13. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Work Schedule: 

Location: Virtual; but must be located near Champaign, IL
