Support Staff

Support Staff team members at Midwest Pool Management have awesome growth opportunities across the Kansas City metro area offering tons of fun for the citizens of the KC area, clients we serve, and the employees we take care of. We are seeking individuals to operate a clean, safe, organized, and fun facility while providing excellent customer service Below is a list of requirements to join our award-winning team at MPM-KC:

1. All applicants must be 15 years of age or older by the start of training.
2. Keep the pool safe. The first, and most important, responsibility of all lifeguards is to promote safety by preventing accidents, as well as having the confidence and ability to perform a rescue when necessary.
3. Be Professional. You represent Midwest Pool Management as well as the facility you are working at. We expect you to always present yourself in a professional manner, through both your appearance and attitude. A good work ethic is an important quality, one which all employers expect. All staff members must wear the required Company uniform while on duty.
4. Be familiar with programs offered at their assigned facility.
   1. Swim lessons
   2. Family Fun Days
   3. Water Aerobics
   4. Swim Team
5. Treat all patrons kindly and with respect, with an emphasis on providing extraordinary customer service.
6. Enforce the pool rules consistently.
7. Keep the pool(s) AND surrounding facilities clean. Cleaning includes vacuuming swimming pools, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning equipment, and more.
8. Know your schedule and arrive at work on time.
   1. Employees are expected to be available a minimum of 18 hours a week and must work at least four weekend days a month (2 Saturdays and Sundays, 4 Saturdays, 4 Sundays, or any combination their in.)
   2. Mornings, daytime, evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours are required.
9. Have a positive and productive attitude, and most of all HAVE FUN!!!

The following positions are available with their associated responsibilities:

1. Front Desk
   1. Admits pool patrons quickly and accurately.
   2. Handle cash, credit, or check transactions with patrons
   3. Redeem coupons.
   4. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
   5. Greet patrons when entering or leaving the establishment.
   6. Keep reports of transactions
   7. Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
2. Concession
   1. Must complete food handler's certification.
   2. Sells items quickly and accurately.
   3. Completes daily inventory forms accurately.
   4. Produces hot menu items safely and consistently.
   5. Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of stand.
   6. Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
3. Pool Attendant
   1. Must be 16 years of age by the start of training.
   2. Work with Management staff on daily operations of assigned facility
   3. Greet patrons when entering or leaving the establishment.
   4. Maintain a clean and tidy facility.
