Atlantic Testing Laboratories (ATL) is an engineering and architectural technical support firm, with 55 years of experience, consisting of 11 offices located throughout New York State. ATL is committed to providing quality service to our clients and a culture that encourages employee safety, diversity, and satisfaction.

ATL is seeking Construction Special Inspector candidates. Construction Special Inspector duties include providing Special Inspection Services in accordance with the Building Code of NYS, quality control and quality assurance monitoring, and field and laboratory sampling and testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, masonry, structural steel and Hot Mix Asphalt.

Construction Special Inspector Qualifications:

  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Basic math and good communication skills
  • A valid New York State driver’s license
  • A positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Enjoying working outdoors in a hands-on environment
  • Desire any of the following certifications: ACI, ICC, PCI, CWI, NETTCP, NYSDOT DTI, NYSDOT PCC, NYSDOT QC/QA and NICET
