Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center has an opening for an onsite Ulstrasonographer III. The Ultrasonographer III operates within the day-to-day operations of the Medical Imaging Department in alignment with the mission, values, and goals of the organization. The Ultrasonographer III performs various ultrasound procedures according to the physician's orders, utilizes knowledge and judgment, and provides diagnostic sonography services along with other clinical duties and patient treatment. Ultrasonographer III must be registered and proficient in two of the following: Abdomen (AB), Vascular Technologist (VT), Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), or Adult Echocardiography (AE).

Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:

  • Graduated from a certified Ultrasound Technology program is required
  • Completion of the Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) exam.
  • Current applicable state licensure (OBMI) in Sonography and national registration in Sonography (RDMS) required in at least two of the following areas: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, or Echocardiography.
  • Have and maintain Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) Certification.
  • Two years of experience in the appropriate field of Sonography is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and computer proficiency specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.

This is a Full-Time position that is eligible for benefits. * SCHHC pays the full employee-only amount for Health, Dental, Vision, and Basic Life & AD&D insurance. *

Employment with Southern Coos Hospital is contingent upon an acceptable pre-employment drug screening and background check.
