Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrician with experience in CNC machine maintenance to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

As an Electrician specializing in CNC machines, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components on our CNC machinery. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.

Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components, including motors, controllers, sensors, and PLCs, on CNC machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of CNC equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades, modifications, and improvements to CNC machines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory related to CNC electrical systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in electrical maintenance techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working with 480V 3-phase step-down electrical systems.
  • Proven experience as an Electrician with a focus on CNC machine maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and circuits, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with CNC machine controls, such as Cincinnati, Siemens, or Haas, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, crouch, and stoop.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
