Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are looking for two experienced CDL A flatbed truck drivers to serve our transportation department in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Transport materials to and from job sites.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work and rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, accidents, or violations.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a flatbed OTR driver.
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
Requirements
- Valid CDL A.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
- Clean driving record and clean clearinghouse record/no violations.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience OTR and flatbed/load securement experience.
- Ability to comply with FMCSA and DOT laws and regulations.
- Ability to comply with ELD.
- Ability to properly operate a 13-speed manual as well as downshift properly.
- 3-weeks out and 3 days home.
