Business Accountant CPA firm

FULL OR PART TIME

HYBRID REMOVE AVAILABLE AFTER PROBATIONARY PERIOD

Fast-paced, growing CPA firm looking for a tech savvy and analytical accountant / bookkeeper to join our Business Accounting team. The individual will be expected to know QuickBooks Online inside out and handle multiple clients at once.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The updating of monthly, quarterly, and/or annual activity primarily using QuickBooks Online (QBO) software
• Recording of deposits, checks, expenses, and credit card transactions
• Processing transactions in QBO and QB Desktop via direct bank feed or file upload
• Maintaining integration between QBO with third party apps and point of sale systems
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
• Record daily sales transactions from POS systems into QBO
• General ledger review
• Creation of financial statements
• Timely and accurate reporting and payment of all payroll taxes on behalf of clients, including all quarterly and annual tax filings
• Annual Form 1099 preparation
• Write-ups

The qualified candidate MUST:

• Have experience working for a CPA firm or bookkeeping company, working on multiple clients throughout the week with efficiency and accuracy
• Be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems
• Exhibit a strong attention to detail
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and be a team player
• Be TECH SAVVY, able to navigate various cloud and server based software programs and know your way around a computer in a paperless office environment

Job Requirements:

• QuickBooks Online (QBO) proficient
• 5+ years QuickBooks Online and Desktop experience
• 5+ years bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to work independently
