Service Technician

Overview

Murphy Family Restaurants is a family-owned franchisee for over 30 McDonald's across Southeast Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. We are looking for a talented Service Technician to join our team. HVAC/Refrigeration experience in the quick service restaurant industry is preferred, but any experience is welcome. On-the-job training will be provided. This position will be based out of Montgomery, AL and will require travel throughout central Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls on a rotating schedule
• Conduct routine maintenance on restaurant equipment, such as grills, fryers, and toasters
• Install, repair, and service restaurant equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment
• Order parts needed for repairs, as necessary
• Ensure new products work properly
• Adhere to safety regulations

Requirements

• Must have HVAC & refrigeration experience, preferably in a quick service restaurant
• Experience servicing restaurant equipment
• Plumbing experience is a plus
• Must be able to read equipment manuals
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently without much supervision
• Ability to effectively manage time
• Must be willing and able to work evenings and some weekends
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which may include climbing ladders, bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces
