About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Scrum Master to add to our Enterprise Analytics and Systems Support Services (EASSS) team in support of Human Resources Command (HRC) Enterprise Modernization Directorate (EMoD).

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Facilitates and guides a software development product owner, team, and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum concepts, values, practices, and principles focusing on improving team effectiveness.
  • Making sure everyone on the team understands the project's goals and scope.
  • Helping the product owner maintain the product backlog.
  • Facilitating Scrum events (daily standups, other meetings) as needed.
  • Manage Agile development teams reporting to include Burn Up Charts, Burn Down Charts and Velocity charts for each agile team and the projects they are working on.
  • Number of stories removed from sprint.
  • Story completion ratio and story point completion ratio (percent complete/percent planned)
  • Schedule variance (actual stories completed - planned stories)
  • For releases that span multiple sprints the charts above will display both current sprint and the cumulative sprints for that release.
  • Coaching the organization on the transition to a working scrum framework.
  • Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless executions of projects.
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of an agile framework or method or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
  • Planning and problem solving with project management and delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • BA/BS and 5+ yrs of experience

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

    • Secret Clearance
    • Certified Scrum Master

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication
