Job Title: OSP Fielders

Location: Brownfield, ME & Stoneham, ME  (Have opennings in 2 locations)

Position: Onsite

Pay Rate: $20/hr to $24/hr

Notes:

·         hourly + mileage up to 50 miles one way to the site.

·         They will be paid mileage from their home to the work site and any mileage going from one work site to another. They will not be paid for mileage from the work site back home. Utilize their personal vehicle.

·         $50 a month for their phone usage, billable.

·         1 week training on IKE provided by Byers

·         Data collection to send back to the OSP engineer, utilizing IKE device, measure poles, verify mapping and taking photos/ measurements.

·         They provide the IKE device. Look for people who were cable installers because they understand how the cables go to the home- entry level.

·         Hungry- take ppl perm after 6 months. All ariel, no underground

Position Responsibilities Include:

·         Use GIS & Goggle earth to field Fiber Network routes

·         Knowledge of aerial pole collection.

·         Completes fiber fielding in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines

·         Ability to perform a wide spectrum of complex assignments requiring alternative analysis, innovation and judgment

·         Understand basis of how to choose most cost-efficient route

·         Able to read and understand highway/road prints, be able to identify conflicts with existing outside plant facilities, select routing of lines and equipment required for work projects.

·         Follow very specific and detailed procedures already implemented and, at times, be required to adjust and adapt to changing standards and procedures without notice

·         Communicate effectively to direct and upper management

Qualifications:

·         Strong communication and computer skills

·         Self-Motivated Professional that is a creative problem solver

·         Must be coach-able and able to perform in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines

·         Experience with IKE 4, 3GIS, or GIS related systems is preferred

·         Proficiency with word, excel, google sheets

·         Sound field engineering experience deploying fiber optic networks - Knowledge of engineering principles within fiber network design area to include general practices, procedures and industry standards.
