PRN Certified Hospice Aide

**Job Summary:**
At Legacy Hospice, we prioritize the quality of life for our patients and strive to create a supportive environment for our staff. As a Certified Hospice Aide, you will play a vital role in providing various services to meet the patient's personal needs and promote comfort. You will utilize your CNA background to focus on fulfilling the unique needs of individuals and their families.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform personal care needs as appropriate according to the patient care plan.
- Take and document temperatures, pulse, respiratory, and blood pressure when necessary.
- Assess and report on the patient's condition and significant changes to the Case Manager.

**Key Qualifications:**
- Meets the training requirements of the state.
- Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort in providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
- Satisfactory references from previous employers.
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired.
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
