Purpose:

As a Lead Installer, you will partner with businesses to achieve successful transition in the workplace. This position is responsible for aligning with our vision to be the first “World Class Provider” of facility services and sharing it with others to the highest level of excellence daily.
Additionally, you will provide direct supervision of a pre-determined group of installation team members for activities including installation of furniture, repairs, moves and deliveries. The position will ensure that installation crew’s work provides exceptional customer service, through a high quality of work performed in an efficient manner ensuring a smooth workflow and flawless execution. Successfully lead assigned installations performance (Cost, Quality, Safety, Delivery and Sales). Provide development of Team Members for future growth opportunities and maintain cohesion within their group. This position also requires accurate and effective communication to Customers, Managers and Operations.
This position is expected to work varied work hours, 40+ hours per week, but hours can vary depending on workload demands.


Principle Duties

  • Demonstrates dependability by being on time, ready to work, regardless of the start time
  • Routinely completes Standard Work daily toolbox talk and stretches
  • Actively trains crew members on the technical aspects of product handling, move and/or installation
  • Communicates daily work plan to team members, including breaks and redirection
  • Ensure proper and safe move, installation and handling techniques are employed during project
  • Directs Members on site in the most effective manner to complete installation within project parameters
  • Capture, document, and update change in scope and communicates project status daily
  • Provides proper support functions on the job through task assignment, demonstration, and coaching
  • Monitors skill level of Members and provides feedback; shares and uses time saving techniques
  • Perform quality inspections during project and directs corrective activities during installation
  • Communicates effectively with Customers, Installers, Team Supervisor
  • Directs water striding; right product, at the right place, in the right quantity, at the right time
  • Promotes a safe work environment through active participation in company lead safety goals
  • Accepts, understands, and responds positively to feedback from superiors

Leadership Responsibilities

  • To become the first “World Class Provider” of facility services and products
  • Leads 2-10 person jobs while maintaining a cohesive work environment for all members
  • Conducts themselves professionally and always acts appropriately while on the job or in uniform
  • Assists in documenting employee behavior to Supervisor and Human Resources
  • Identify conflict during the job and assist in developing options to ensure projects success
  • Supports company initiatives through active participation including safety and development
  • Assist in evaluating employee performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Supports company initiatives through active participation and adherence to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • HS Degree preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience furniture installation work
  • 1+ years’ experience leading, or supervising work preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite and ServiceTRAX
  • Knowledge of most major lines of furniture assembly and repair
  • Ability to travel outside of the office, may include occasional overnight or out of state travel
  • Understand and interpret design and construction plans preferred
