Role: Senior Roadway Construction Inspector

Salary Range: $33.00-$36.00/Hour

Type: Full-time/Non-exempt

Overview:

Our company seeks a full-time Senior Roadway Construction Inspector situated in Brownsville, TN. The role involves overseeing Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) projects with the Tennessee Department of Transportation and local municipalities.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of inspection roadway construction experience
  • Experience in transportation (bridge, roadway, rail) construction inspection.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training,
  • Experience with Site Manager Software and Roadway Plans is preferred
  • ITS experience is preferred
  • Flexibility to work overtime, during limited nighttime construction, and willingness for overnight travel as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction inspections for bridge, highway, and railroad projects following client's procedures.
  • Manage inspection services ensuring compliance with plans and specifications for all roadway, structures, and specialty items.
  • Document and review field measurements in project records for client or auditor review.
  • Daily review of traffic control measures.
  • Document and distribute weekly project traffic control reports.
  • Inspect erosion control measures daily for compliance.
  • Maintain an accurate daily diary including contractor information, project history, events, equipment, orders, times, etc.
  • Supervise field staff and resolve queries.
  • Train new Inspectors to meet company standards.
