Bluerock Underground provides underground horizontal boring, excavating, and underground utility installation to internet service providers, public water, public sewer and other utilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bluerock Underground is looking to hire a full-time locator.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledgeable and safe when operating locating equipment, hydro vacs, core drills and hand tools.
• Operates locator for installation of underground telecommunications cable including fiber optic cable.
• Complete daily safety/vehicle/equipment inspections.
• Complete daily tasks as assigned by your Operator in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verification of proper potholing/day lighting of existing facilities and utilities in the work area.
• Setup and operate various directional boring equipment.
• A clear understanding of locating information and utility conflict resolution.
• Follow safety and drilling operation procedures at all times to guarantee a safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications:

• Show up for work daily and on time.
• Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.
• Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license and pass random driver's license screenings.
• Class D or above driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasks.
• Regular contact with co-workers and customers.
• Travel required.

Work Environment:

• Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 80 lbs continuously.
• Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, dirt, wet, vibration and very loud noise.
