About this job

Description

We are seeking a candidate motivated by our mission to catalyze the reduction of energy and carbon emissions. This Program Coordinator will join the Efficient Technology Accelerator (ETA) team at CEE and be highly organized, self-directed, and proactive in their approach to work. The program coordinator needs to be agile and goal-oriented as they help the CEE team achieve energy savings and decarbonization goals through our market transformation program. Specifically, the program coordinator will be working on a statewide initiative to advance air-source heat pump (ASHP) technology in Minnesota. ASHPs are a technology crucial to the decarbonization of space heating. The program coordinator will help deliver this program and conduct a wide range of activities to ensure we achieve our initiative goals.

The ideal candidate will have a background in energy efficiency, superior people skills, the ability to complete data analysis, and write reports. They will have a team-oriented approach and be willing to complete day-to-day tasks as well as step up and take on higher responsibilities when needed. This position will be especially attractive to candidates who wish to grow their skills and career prospects by working and training with recognized efficiency experts.

Background:

For nearly 40 years, CEE has collaborated with utilities, governments, nonprofits, and businesses to deliver actionable research and innovative programs that reduce energy waste and harmful emissions. We've established a national reputation for innovation and excellence in program implementation, our emerging technology and field research team, our involvement and expertise with local and state policy work, and our work with communities. We collaborate regularly with partners and employ curious people who share a passion for the organization's mission. Our workplace invites open door communications, respect for diverse backgrounds and points of view, and an emphasis on work-life balance. Our staff includes creative and pragmatic environmentalists, program developers and implementers, engineers and technical experts, and research professionals. Our organizational culture is professional but easy-going, with a deep emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and technical expertise. We're proud to operate in Minnesota, a national leader in clean energy and energy efficiency, and increasingly employ staff across the nation.

CEE launched a statewide market transformation program, called the ETA, in 2023, with committed and growing funding from the State of Minnesota and its utilities. The purpose of this program is to accelerate the development and adoption of emerging energy efficiency technologies, bringing efficiency and electrification technologies and practices more rapidly to scale. With a current size of about 22 staff, we are building and expanding this dream team of talent to grow our market transformation program into a major new source of energy and carbon reduction in the state. The Program Coordinator reports to the ASHP Initiative Manager and is part of the ETA team.
