Laborer/Driver

Bluerock Underground provides underground horizontal boring, excavating, and underground utility installation to internet service providers, public water, public sewer and other utilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bluerock Underground is looking to hire a full-time general laborer to work on FTTH builds.

Responsibilities:

* Must be able to receive any work within the normal scope of work we do and be able to complete in a timely fashion
* Ability to interpret fiber design plans

* Effectively use hand tools to pothole utilities and install client fixtures below ground level
* Stock truck with supplies for the day's job assignment
* Responsible for general organization of truck and cleanliness of truck both in and out
* Conscientious regarding the safety of him/herself at times as well as the safety of every other crew member or individual on the job site

* Must be able display customer appropriate conduct while on the job

Qualifications:

* Show up for work daily and on time
* Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
* Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver's license and pass random driver's license screenings

* Class D or above driver’s license preferred
* Ability to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasks
* Regular contact with co-workers and customers
* Travel required

* Need a CDL A or B

Work Environment:

* Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 80 lbs continuously
* Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, dirt, wet, vibration and very loud noise.
