OVERNIGHT SHIFT: 11pm-7am

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch is searching for full and part-time Residential Treatment Specialists on its Fargo, ND campus.

Starting Wage: $20/hour plus benefits

Schedule: We are hiring for the 11pm to 7am shift, including every other weekend. *Part-time employees work 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

In providing for the day-to-day care of Ranch residents, Residential Treatment Specialists:

  • Build positive relationships with children and their families
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment that provides a safe place for kids to grow and learn.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team (therapist, residential supervisors, nurses, spiritual life and wellness staff, etc.)
  • Participate in clinically-based activities as assigned by the Residential Supervisor (one-on-one activities with kids, group facilitation and participation, mentoring, etc.)
  • Supervise youth while they are on campus and in the community
  • Motivate, de-escalate, and coach youth through difficult behaviors
  • Engage with youth through active participation in daily activities
  • Teach daily living and coping skills based on each child's individualized treatment plan
  • Model a culture of purpose, caring, and learning
  • Must be comfortable working in and creating a trauma-informed environment

Qualifications:

Residential Treatment Specialists must:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a thorough background check including criminal, abuse, and motor vehicle
  • Have a current driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preference given to candidates with college coursework)
