Our clinic is a thriving outpatient pediatric speech and language therapy clinic located in Bangor, Maine.We work with a combination of medical model and educational based services, which makes our setting rewarding and progressive.It is a fun and family-based environment that focuses on improving the lives of our clients and their families.

We are currently looking for a motivated and dynamic, full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team.We are also looking to hire a full-time substitute to cover a maternity leave happening at the end of August, which could be done via teletherapy with a Maine license.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate patients with speech and language needs to determine the nature and extent of their challenges.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target patients' specific needs and goals.
  3. Use evidence-based practice to guide treatment decisions and modify treatment plans as needed.
  4. Provide therapy services to patients individually or in group sessions.
  5. Document patients' progress and treatment outcomes using electronic medical records.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, special educators, administrators, occupational therapists, and case managers, to provide coordinated care and ensure continuity of care.
  7. Educate patients and their families on their identified area of need, their prescribed treatment plan, therapy techniques and strategies for improving their speech, language or communication skills.
  8. Participate in clinical meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities to stay current with evidence-based practice.
  9. Work with and as a team alongside other clinicians in the office to provide the best possible treatment for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited university.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • State licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with pediatric clients.
  • knowledge of and experience with a variety of evaluation tools and treatment methods appropriate for a wide variety of ages and speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
