Lube Technician - Dickinson, ND

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repair, and service of fleet trucks and heavy equipment.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
• Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Task and Work Activities:

• Ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance is completed according to the manufacture's specifications and guidelines.
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Repairs or replaces defective parts
• Perform servicing company vehicles and equipment according to company procedures as required
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
• Lubricates and cleans parts
• Identify and report vehicle and machine damage, safety concerns and malfunctions to supervisor
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
• Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
• Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with drivers, operators, and technicians
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
• Inspects equipment conditions (wear, alignment, function, etc) and monitors oil flow and temperature observing gauges to measure performance

Education, Requirements and Experience:

• Ability to do basic math
• Must have a valid Class A driver's license
