Job Description
Customer service and manual labor are two of the primary activities of this position.
The employee is expected to welcome customers in a friendly and helpful manner and provide them with guidance and assistance in the use of the laundry's facilities. This includes taking in wash/dry/fold clothes orders, weighing them and providing the costumer with a written receipt. After taking the order the employee is required to wash, dry, fold and neatly place them in a storage bag. The employee is also expected to provide guidance and assistance when needed to costumers in the operation of the laundry’s equipment.
Tasks of the position include but not limited to: Cleaning machines inside and out, sweeping and mopping floor, cleaning restrooms, take out trash, organize supplies, replenish vending machines and other tasks as required. It also requires the ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds, stoop to floor level for cleaning under machines and reach above your head for other cleaning duties.
This position requires the employee to work without direct supervision and both day and evening shifts in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
