We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our team in Vestaburg, MI. Contract Details:
- Hours: 7:30am-3:10pm
- Days: Monday-Friday
Caseload Details:
- Number of Kiddos: 10-15 (Maximum 25)
- Age Range: Middle School
- Number of Buildings: One
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and goals.
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to create inclusive learning environments and promote the integration of students with special needs.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress and monitor their performance, providing timely feedback and implementing interventions as necessary.
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive educational community.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and IEP documentation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with middle school students with special needs.
- Knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
