Job Description
The Business Office Manager is the voice of the customer responsible for the internal management of customer relations including managing customers' order books, quote follow ups in line with department KPIs whilst executing the product strategy with respect to our business in regard to quoting, and pricing. The Business Office Manager is also responsible for setting KPIs in line with the business office strategy and managing the daily functions of the Inside Sales, Program Management Product Engineering and Costing Teams.

Must be able to walk and climb stairs and drive a vehicle.

Job Description
The Business Office Manager is the voice of the customer responsible for the internal management of customer relations including managing customers' order books, quote follow ups in line with department KPIs whilst executing the product strategy with respect to our business in regard to quoting, and pricing. The Business Office Manager is also responsible for setting KPIs in line with the business office strategy and managing the daily functions of the Inside Sales, Program Management Product Engineering and Costing Teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee and support the daily function of the Inside Sales, Product Engineering and Costing departments by supplying appropriate resources and mentorship.
- Serve as escalation support for sales and customer support calls, this includes interfacing with the field sales team as needed.
- Oversee quote management process and analysis to ensure business KPIs are met; this includes management of product costs for projects and keeping the budget forecast updated.
- Ensure orders flow through appropriate business channels, are recorded against the proper KPI by value strain and update budget forecasts as appropriate.
- Oversee and manage department metrics and provide routine updates on KPIs.
- Oversee S&OP forecasts; to include providing routine updates to relevant stakeholders coordinating with leadership on any updates based on business KPIs.
- Function as part of delegation of authority matrix for project and pricing management
- Weigh company performance against company monthly, quarterly, and yearly objectives; coordinate applicable stakeholders on any adjustments to established objectives.
- Research marketing and industry trends to make informed recommendations for potential new product offerings.
- Represent the company at networking events and vendor conferences.
- Please note: This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as such, applicants must be a U.S. person defined as a citizen, national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
- Minimum 5 years in similar position
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred
- A Technical background would be beneficial but not essential.
- Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of the Wire and Cable industry, specifically related to Oil, Gas, Defense and/or Subsea Exploration preferred.
- Prior experience in people management is required.
- An appreciation of LEAN/Continuous Improvement culture is essential.
- Working knowledge of both USML (ITAR) and CCL (EAR) requirements & controls preferred.
- Some overnight travel to customers and exhibitions will be required.
