AV Technician or Helper/Trainee

We are a small audio-visual integration firm that specializes in designing and installing professional sound, video, lighting, control, and communication systems.

We are currently looking for experienced installers/technicians to join our team but we are also interested in someone with less experience who is motivated to become an AV Technician.

The industries we service are as follows:

•         Corporate
•         Houses of Worship

The position requires performing comprehensive audiovisual equipment installation for our clients to include, but not limited to:

•   Reading and following blueprints, schematics, technical manuals and/or diagrams.
•   Completing cable pulls, terminations, and testing.
•   Soldering cables and using hand tools to accurately measure and cut as required.
•   Installing loudspeakers, projectors, displays, projector screens, etc.
•   Building out equipment racks with attention to detail on wiring schematics and cable labeling.
•   Maintaining inventory of equipment.
•   Providing system tuning and client instruction.
•  Clearly communicating with team members and customers.
•  Performing service calls; running diagnostics or troubleshooting systems to identify and resolve operating problems or       system wiring problems.

Physical Demands:

•     Must be able to pull cable, lift up to 75lbs, and climb ladders or use lifts up to heights of 35+feet.

Education/Experience:

•   AV experience with audio visual integration and control systems is preferred but not required.
•  High school diploma plus additional specialized training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities has been       acquired.
•  Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.
• Construction or handyman experience will also be helpful.
