Camp Program Director

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement camp programs and activities that align with the camp's mission and goals. Our primary programs are for individuals and families with cognitive or physical disabilities and military families.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp, including scheduling, staffing, and logistics
- Provide leadership and guidance to camp staff, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants
- Manage camper registration, including processing applications, collecting fees, and maintaining accurate records
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding camp updates, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with other camp directors and staff to coordinate special events and programs
- Evaluate camp programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and effectiveness

Requirements:

- A strong relationship with Jesus, a desire to be active in a local church, and a desire to grow spiritually.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in education, administration, or camp administration, program development, ministry.
- Experience: Experience developing programs, overseeing programs, especially relative to special needs, working in a camp setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of education administration principles and practices
- Familiarity with higher education teaching methods and curriculum development
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, including staff, parents/guardians, and community members
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
