Senior Accountant - Now Hiring

We are looking for an Accountant to work with our clients of diverse industries. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for our clients’ finances. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the day-to-day work goals. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the clients’ accounting department. When the client is fully aware of its financial condition, the client can make the right business decisions and accomplish long term success.

Responsibilities

· Post and process monthly transactions, prepare journal entries needed, and ensure all business transactions are recorded

· Reconcile accounts receivable. Issue invoices if requested by our client

· Reconcile accounts payable.

· Process monthly balance sheet and income statements

· Reconcile Payroll expense, payroll tax expense, and payroll liabilities

· Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

· Prepare monthly or/and yearly accounting closings

· Assist with other accounting projects as requested by client

Skills

· Proven experience as an accountant

· Excellent organization abilities

· Great attention to detail

· Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen

· Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

· Excellent knowledge of MS Office, QuickBooks desktop and online versions.

· Bachelor's in accounting required

· Minimum two years of experience preferred Senior Accountant

Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure accurate financial planning
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS)
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
- Oversee the general ledger and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making processes
- Monitor and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks and Xero) to streamline financial processes
- Maintain a thorough understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA designation preferred)
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Experience with regulatory reporting requirements (IFRS)
- Familiarity with SOX compliance standards
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
