If you are interested in helping to improve the mobility of your patients by evaluating, diagnosing,?providing consultation to patients, and treating all aspects of podiatric diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle by medical, biomechanical, and surgical means. ? SIH is looking for a qualified passionate Podiatrist to work as a team with our other physicians to provide for our patients in Southern Illinois. Our aim is to help to create a better quality of life for the people we serve. 

This position will primarily be housed at our Herrin location while also spending time at our satellite offices. The physician is responsible for approximately 10 days of call per month for three hospital locations including our main hospital in Carbondale. The physician will cover two clinic locations approximately 20 mins apart. Surgery time is on a block schedule to ensure physicians can balance the patient's need. Qualification Requirements 

• Education and Training: Successful completion Podiatric Medical College and of a 36-month or PMSR with RRA residency program in podiatric medicine and surgery in a program approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) 

• Certification: Current certification in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Board certification must be achieved within five years of being admissible to take the exam   

• Clinical Experience: Applicant must provide documentation of provision of podiatric services (30 cases) representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous year (waived for applicants who completed training during the previous year - residency case logs to be submitted for review).
