Best Logistics Group is a growing Trucking/Logistics Company with Diesel Shops in Kernersville, NC, Winston-Salem, NC, and South Point, OH. We are actively hiring Diesel Technicians in our South Point, OH and Kernersville, NC locations. As a Diesel Technican with BEST, you will be join a growing, family-oriented team, helping to make us the BEST in trucking! You will report to our full-service, on-site shop in South Point, OH and your main responsibility is to safely and efficiently maintain a varied fleet of Class 8 Road Tractors and Trailers associated with our BEST Specialized division.
Schedule
Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri/Sat: 7:00am to 5:00pm (OFF Wednesdays and Sundays)
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
Experience in troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on Class 8 Road Tractors/Trailers
Experience with tire changes, oils/fluid checks, and 5th wheel maintenance
Experience with service and parts documentation/Repair Orders (RO)
Knowledge of FMCSA and/or DOT maintenance guidelines and regulations
Ability to communicate issues to the Shop Foreman
Basic computer skills
The ability to work independently of others
General knowledge of preventative maintenance for Class 8 Tractor Trailers
Prior trucking experience a plus
CDL is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Pay is based upon experience
Uniforms are provided
Yearly boot allowance

Must communicate all scheduling conflicts with the Shop Foreman
Must have basic computer skills
