NVR is opening a new Manufacturing Plant in Lavonia, Georgia and we are seeking highly motivated, positive, results-oriented individuals to join our team.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the start-up of our newest facility.It will be a unique experience to help set the direction of the facility and have a visible and lasting impact on the business.

We are seeking experienced NVR employees to relocate to the Georgia plant.Your NVR experience will be critical in establishing operations, achieving results, and servicing Homebuilding operations in a timely manner.The start-up team will receive training, development plans, and support from experts at our established plants.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Manager, you will lead the office team which provides support in Scheduling, Logistics, Quality, and Administrative Support.Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, promoting a positive work environment focused on achieving business goals.Foster an environment of coaching, development and teamwork and ensure expectations and results are communicated effectively.
  • Manage the customer scheduling & delivery process and the production capacity of the plant, through effective communication with Homebuilding Operations.Manage capacity variables to drive an accurate and stable production schedule.
  • Partner with Homebuilding operations and the plant production departments to provide a high level of quality and timely resolution to any quality or delivery issues.
  • Drive the achievement of NVR and the plant's annual business objectives, initiatives, productivity, quality and delivery goals.Identify and implement projects or processes to achieve these goals.
  • Drive process improvement throughout the plant, which focuses on results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Take an active role in the plant safety program and ensure leadership is monitoring all personnel for desired safety behaviors.Evaluate each work area for safety best practices and enhance procedures to make each job safer.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative processes in assigned departments.
  • Manage key controllable operating expenses and develop cost control plans.Drive innovation and capital improvements through the strategic Manufacturing leadership team.
  • Ensure compensation, performance management, and plant rules are administered equitably and consistently.Make decisions and support plant management in hiring, disciplinary, termination, problem resolution and employee investigation situations.
  • Participate in broader company initiatives, as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience in an NVR Customer Service leadership role
  • 7years of progressive leadership and management experience (Manufacturing experience strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with Lean and continuous improvement
  • Excellent problem-analysis and strategic-thinking abilities
  • Experience communicating effectively with all levels of an organization and a demonstrated commitment to Customer Service.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive improvements within the organization and persuade and influence others
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to travel to other NVR plants and locations, as needed
