Position Summary

Conduct tests to determine quality of raw materials, bulk intermediate, and finished products.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

* Inspect and verify incoming raw material and products to specifications.

* Maintain and update incoming inspection files, procedures, and related required documentation.

* Determine proper product configuration and performance using engineering instructions such as product prints.

* Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

* Complete dispositions, documents, and reports for purchasing and quality engineers on nonconforming materials.

* Support internal and external audits.

* Assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence or nonconforming product.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

* Associate degree and a minimum of two (2) years related quality experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

DESIRED

* ASQ certified Quality Inspector a plus.

* Able to read engineering prints and record results and make decisions whether a specification has been met.

* Ability to use tools such as calipers and electrical meters to measure dimensions.

* Solid computer skills in the basic office suite programs.

* Comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere and detail oriented.

* Comfortable using a pallet jack and ability to lift 25- 50 lbs.

* Maintain/Calibrate hand tools and fixtures for production.

* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) required.

* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is considered OFFICE WORK / ONSHORE which is characterized as follows.

* Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
