Description

Summary

The Estimator is responsible for providing accurate price estimates for assigned region in a timely manner as well as coordinating and directing the installations in this region. This is a very fast paced environment with a variety of internal and external sales staff and agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Receives RFQs from internal and external sales reps
  2. Reviews supplied scope and/or plans
  3. Works closely with sales reps for scope questions and clarifications
  4. Provides quotes to requesting party within a 24-48hr window
  5. Maintains all quotes within the predetermined margin and pricing guidelines
  6. Assists management with determining the proper margin/pricing mix based on historical data and experience
  7. Tracks and reports weekly quote totals by rep, product, etc. to management team.
  8. Assists in developing, maintaining, and strengthening customer relationships.
  9. Resolve scope/pricing discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  10. Coordinate project installations
  11. Communicate schedule with customer and installment crew
  12. Problem solve site issues with East Coast Construction Manager

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in field.
  • 5+ years of experience with construction estimating

Ability to read and interpret documents such as bid plans and blueprints and construction. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.

Other Requirements

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar measurement tool
  • Experience in Construction Industry
