The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Plant Maintenance/Operator to work at our Highland Plant in Holly, MI. Heavy Equipment Operator/Plant Maintenance position will analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild, and maintain crushing, screening, and conveyor systems. This person will also perform various maintenance duties in the plant and pit.

Responsibilities
- Use machinery to regulate the flow, quality, and size of materials to and from conveyors, crushers, and screens
- Inspecting and dismantling machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and correct the problem
- Service plant and pit equipment as needed (e.g. minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding).
- Operate mobile equipment such as excavator, bulldozer, loader, and dredge
- Keep the work area clean and tidy
- Repair and replace defective parts
- Weld and fabricate various equipment and parts
- Shovel aggregate under conveyors and around the plant
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills
- Knowledge of equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, crusher, hot plant, wash plant, conveyor lines)
- Knowledge of materials and specification requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment or at elevated heights
- Ability to manipulate components in hard-to-reach places with hands or tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
- Ability to work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
- Ability to work around water
- Valid Driver's license
