Kelly Services in partnership with Cummins has immediate openings for experienced Welders to join our team in Columbus, IN. Cummins is a global premier Fortune 500 company that is among the largest in the world making diesel engines and components. Several opportunities are available on multiple shifts!

Shifts and Pay Rates:
- Day - 5:00am to 5:00pm, Monday – Thursday ($19.00 per hour)
- Night - 5:00pm to 5:00am, Wednesday – Saturday ($19.75 per hour)
- Rotating – 5:00pm to 5:00am, Monday – Tuesday & 5:00am to 5:00pm, Friday - Saturday ($20.00 per hour)
- Will be required to work some overtime as needed
- May possibly be asked to train on day shift
What’s a typical day as a Welder? You'll be:
- Setting up, operating or tending to welding, soldering, or brazing machines
- Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions and operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments
- Monitoring the fitting, burning and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material
- Examining workpieces for defects and measuring workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Repairing products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have at least 6 months of TIG welding experience and basic knowledge of welding processes such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and resistance welding
- Possess basic knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Are familiar with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
- Are willing to cross-train and consistently work in other areas of the plant to support the production process
- Are you able to walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, reach, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds for a full 8-10 hour shift
