Position Summary:

As a growing company, we are always looking for new team members to help us continue in our success. Currently, we are seeking a Shipping Material Handler whose purpose is to support distribution center operations by efficiently sorting, scanning, staging and wrapping merchandise. Ensure the product is loaded and checked in the proper delivery sequences so the customer receive the correct products at the right time.

Schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:00AM & 8:00 AM until task completion.

Monday-Friday- START TIMES ARE 8AM end time is when work is completed.

Applicants should expect to work approx. 10-12 hours average per day. --those who want physical work with great pay, lots of overtime, and a great and safe work environment.

Wage: $17.75-$23.00 HOURLY PLUS

What You'll Do

• Support distribution center operations by efficiently sorting, scanning, staging and wrapping merchandise. Ensure the product is loaded and checked in the proper delivery sequences so the customer receive the correct products at the right time. Sort cargo before loading and unloading by hand.
• Attach identifying information to pallets to ensure driver's ease of delivery and good customer experience
• Read and follow truck loading forecasts summaries
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials
• Meet quality and production standards by ensuring customer receives the right product, in the right quantity and in the best condition
• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
• Communicate truck route changes with other departments as necessary
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by Supervisor

  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
  • Good comprehension skills
  • Good math skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
  • Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
  • Must be a team player with a can do attitude
  • Power Equipment certification a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • High School diploma preferred, but not required
  • Physical assessment, drug and criminal screening required.
