Job Description
Metro is seeking part-time forklift / reach operators to serve on its Supplemental Urgent Response Group (SURG). This team provides time sensitive, emergency response storage and distribution for our clients. This position requires team members to be on-call 24/7/365 for their preferred shift. SURG team members are committed individuals who agree to work on short notice, usually within one hour from the time they are notified.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
1. Responsible for the timely and accurate performance of physical inventory functions including: Operating forklift equipment; Receive and process incoming shipments; records pulling, packing and shipping information as assigned
2. Responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate completion of paperwork.
3. Responsible for maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with teammates.
Employee shall be required to work a minimum of (1) four hour shift each month based on their preferred shift.
Pay Information: $25-27 per hour plus monthly stipend of $150 (sit-down lift driver) or $250 (stand-up lift driver).
