Your Opportunity:

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a Material Handlerto join the team in Byron, MN! The Material Handler is responsible for performing all material moving tasks involved in the production of Taylor products. This includes following a production schedule, and moving product accordingly.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, storage areas, and production areas, either manually or using equipment
  • Stage and stack products in particular locations
  • Stack empty pallets; clean and sweep work area
  • Retrieve forms from Supervisor to support daily production schedules
  • Restocking excess stock as required
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
  • Locates material and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on job ticket
  • Prepares stock for shipping, packing, crating, loading products
  • Perform general maintenance duties as required
  • Loading recycling into a trailer
  • Operate a compactor and cardboard crusher
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Highly detailed oriented- quality focus driven & organized
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to count/measure
  • Basic computer skills
  • Be able to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule

Your Shift: 12hour shifts overnights 6:00pm - 6:00am; Mon - Wed and then Thurs-Sat (5-week rotation)

3-day + every other Sunday as-needed

You Must Have:

  • Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances
  • High degree of math skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of mechanical ability
  • Good reading ability
  • Team player mentality and be self-motivated
  • Forklift Experience/Certification
  • Pallet Jack Experience/ Certification
  • Experience in production/fast paced environment
  • Must be 18 years of age

Requirements within this position:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Ability to work with very close tolerances
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members
  • High degree of analytical skills
  • High School diploma, the equivalent, or work-related experience
  • Good color discernment
