Angelus Block is currently seeking to hire a full-time a Senior Industrial Electro mechanic/ maintenance technician for our Sun Valley, CA location. The Maintenance technician will be responsible for trouble shooting, repairs and planned maintenance .

Maintenance Industrial / Electrical Mechanic 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Description:

Maintains production and quality by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical support equipment.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on Production equipment — Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical and Electrical per Manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Locates sources of problems by listening to the Operators, observing equipment operation, listening for problems and using a step-by-step problem solving approach.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
  • Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
  • Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using both hand and power tools.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts using tape measure, ruler, calipers, micrometers and other basic measuring tools.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Maintains equipment parts, supplies, and inventory by communicating to Plant Superintendent of actual levels.
  • Works on multiple pieces of equipment through an order of priority that will be given by the Plant Superintendent.
  • Maintains continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs of equipment or operating personnel.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Uses recommended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed and effectively use Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures when working on equipment.

 

Other job duties:

· Works and drives towards a team environment

· Have the ability to cut, torch, weld and/or fabricate with steel when needed

· Ability to work extended hours to meet production demands

· Plan work in an effective manner, and keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

· Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Skills Needed:

  • Familiar with automation equipment : pneumatics, cylinders, sensors, relays and computers.
  • Operation Monitoring: Observes moving equipment, looks at gauges, dials, or other indicators to assess equipment performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Determines causes of machine downtime, poor quality or performance and decides on best course of action to temporarily correct with future permanent fix planned.
  • Equipment Installation: Installs support equipment, machines, hoses, basic wiring, and lubrication fluids to meet requirements using industry best practices
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

Required experience:

  • Job Experience is required: 10-15 years
  • Electrician experience 10-15 years

Education:

  • High School diploma or Trade School Training

Minimum physical requirements:

Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing and lifting, etc.

Communication skills English and Spanish preferred but not required.

Constant- Seeing, carrying, gripping objects under 20lbs.

Frequent- Bending, reaching, sitting, lifting objects under 20lbs.

Occasional- feeling, climbing, balancing, hearing, stooping, standing, walking, driving, twisting, hand tools.

Pushing and pulling objects under 20 lbs. Carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling items from 20 lbs up to 100 lbs.
