The Senior Account Manager’s primary role is to ensure customer satisfaction and client retention by delivering timely, consistent, and quality service for a large/complex book of business. Our focus is providing exceptional customer service every day, educating our clients on risks they face and offering creative solutions to protect the things that matter most to them.


As a Senior Account Manager, you will utilize your extensive Personal Lines skills and experience to provide extraordinary service to our most valuable clients. This work will allow you to continue a career path to Account Executive and Team Manager.

  • Perform all account transactions including applications, quotations, ID cards, proposals, summaries, endorsements, binders, billing, correspondence, etc. on personal lines accounts.
  • Respond to client inquires, incoming mail, company requests, and producer requests in a timely manner.
  • Identify and convert on account rounding and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with Propel’s and our Carriers’ standards and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements and authority outlined by each carrier.
  • Complete account summaries with our clients. Help customers identify gaps in coverage, offer solutions, and place coverage.
  • Update and maintain all client files on our technology platforms.
  • Maintain knowledge of our carriers’ products, underwriting guidelines, and operating procedures.
  • Keep current with industry trends and competitive intelligence by participating in department meeting, reading company bulletins, and attending webinars.
  • Use company systems and procedures to maintain and prioritize workload, including work to be handled by Account Assistant.
  • Assist in the training and development of new personal lines employees.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise in High-Net-Worth personal lines coverage, underwriting and rating.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates professionalism and responsiveness in communication with clients, carriers, producers, and peers.
  • Solution-oriented service delivery mindset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Agency Management System Experience.  AMS Sagitta and ImageRight preferred.
  • Strong technical coverage knowledge of personal lines.
  • Broad industry knowledge and experience.
  • Strong/consistent work ethic – timely follow-up, team oriented, proactive, detail oriented, and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong proponent of change that will enhance workflows and PL organization.

 

Experience and Edication:

  • 5+ years industry experience including at least 3 years at the Account Manager level.
  • Applicable state P&C Agents License.
  • Industry related certifications expected.
  • College degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 DOE
