Overview:

Independently, or under the direction of a Radiologist, performs MRI procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative for obtaining a diagnosis. Has responsibility for routine MRI imaging and other procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum MRI scans, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort a top priority. Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
  • Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility) BLS Basic Life Support.
  • Other Skills & Knowledge: IV Insertion, Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor degree
  • Preferred Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT - 1 Advanced registry (MRI)
