St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a full-time Clinical Oncology Nurse Supervisor to share oversight responsibilities over the Clinical Oncology unit within the St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) in Boise with a shared leadership model. This is a new structure, shared with two other fantastic nursing supervisors. All three nursing supervisors will share leadership responsibilities in clinical oncology and chemo infusion. You would be joining a patient focused, collaborative, and creative leadership team!

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day oversight of the unit/department(s) assigned
• Provide leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff
• Select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff
• Work with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsel staff when clinical practice standards are not met
• Assist with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels
• Collaborate with all members of care provision team to share knowledge and plan for optimal outcomes
• Serve as administrative authority for the smooth function of all units on assigned shift
• Exercise considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices
• Serve as expert and resource to staff
• Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements
• Assist with budget planning and clinical needs assessments
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Nursing Degree
• Experience: Three (3) years’ relevant RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
• Preferred: Oncology, OCN, and/or Leadership experience
