The Opportunity
This role will support the Warehouse operations, ensuring shipping processes run smoothly. The Warehouse Team Lead/Supervisor ensures overall functioning, performance and efficiency of the warehouse, allocating and coordinating product movement with Logistics, Quality Assurance, Production and other warehouses. This full time position will report to the Warehouse Manager and will;
- Manage day-to-operations in the Warehouse in an efficient manner, ensuring inventory is correct and accurate.
- Provide training to staff as required.
- Allocate and ship product utilizing the SAP program.
- Troubleshoot and repair warehouse equipment as needed
- Communicate with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Plant Operations and management to meet customer needs.
- Proactively ensure the warehouse is audit ready at all times.
- Ensure warehouse meets and employees follow current GMP standards.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- One year of related experience and/or Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Ability to delegate, inspire and communicate effectively while providing leadership through example and sharing of knowledge & skills.
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, GPS, or similar continuous improvement methodologies. (e.g. Root Cause Analysis)
- Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Ability to work in 32-40 degree temperatures.
- Forklift experience (certification provided by Glanbia)
- Compliance with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
- Possess good understanding of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, Loss Control, and Safety policies/practices.
