Material Handler

PrideStaff, Central Oregon's top rated staffing and recruiting firm, is currently seeking a Material Handler for a great opportunity with one of Central Oregon's biotech companies. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of working experience in fast paced production environment.

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• Performing a variety of operations
• Receiving: Unloading incoming materials, verifying their quality and quantity, and documenting receipts
• Properly storing materials in designated locations, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible
• Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting audits, reporting discrepancies
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials within the facility
• Preparing materials for shipment, including labeling, packing, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations
• Inspecting materials for damage or defects and taking appropriate actions.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and processes
• Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately pick and pack orders
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
