Job Description: Injection Molding Process Technician

Location: Largo, Florida

Schedule:

  • 1st shift 7-330pm
  • 2nd shift 3-1130pm
  • 3rd shift 11-730am 

Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Setup and Operation: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot injection molding machines to ensure efficient production runs.
  2. Process Optimization: Optimize injection molding processes to meet quality standards, cycle time targets, and production goals.
  3. Tooling Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on molds and tooling to ensure they remain in optimal condition for production.
  4. Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout the production process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency and meet specifications.
  5. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation, mold setup, material quality, and other factors that may affect production.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including process parameters, material usage, and quality inspections.
  7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with production team members, engineers, and other stakeholders to improve processes and address any production challenges.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Previous experience as an injection molding process technician or similar role is preferred.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills, with the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex machinery.
  3. Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and address production issues.
  4. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
  5. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating and collaborating with coworkers to achieve common goals.
  6. Safety Consciousness: A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
  7. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands.
  8. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in injection molding or related fields may be beneficial.
