About this job

Purpose of Position: Provide administrative support in the processing of Domestic & International Shipments to ensure on time delivery to customers.

Position Description:

  • Coordinate activities in assigned area of responsibility
  • Advisor, counselor, and trainer for area of responsibility
  • Maintain service levels and promote customer satisfaction
  • Anticipate and avoid operational problems
  • Provide problem resolutions, support and direction to warehouse associates
  • Provide assistance to supervisors on order related questions or concerns
  • Monitor the status of pending shipments and communicate issues or concerns to supervisor
  • Recognize potential compliance issues that will affect export documentation and reporting them to the appropriate personnel for resolution
  • Correspondence with Freight Forwarders, International Customer Service and Transportation Logistics
  • Assist warehouse associates / supervisors with export order related questions and issues
  • Utilize Excel to calculate values per HTS Code
  • Utilize the Trade Automation system to generate export documents
  • Provide assistance to other DC's as needed
  • Correct issues relating to freight and clearance for international shipments
  • Process shipments using FedEx, UPS and DHL shipping systems
  • Update orders with relative shipping notes
  • Create the required documents to clear shipments through customs
  • Create and attach shipping labels to freight
  • Create Bills of Lading to move shipments to the forwarder
  • Update spreadsheet with shipment information
  • Perform any other related duties as directed
  • Use the SCO and other 3rd party sites to generate export shipments
  • Support other projects / activities as assigned by management

  • Self-Motivated * Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs
  • Efficient in analyzing and prioritizing tasks * Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of
  • Attention to detail time.
  • Strong communication skills * Must be able to operate PIE as needed
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Strong data entry and PC skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong Oracle Skills
