Kraken Cards is looking to hire an assistant store manager, with a plan of developing the position into the full-time store manager within a year. As assistant store manager, you will oversee all front-end operations, which include coaching and training retail staff, shift scheduling, merchandising, and inventory management. You will also learn and assist the store manager in all aspects of running the Kraken Cards business.

**Job Functions will be:**

* Providing an engaging and informative customer experience

* Helping employees fulfill their job duties and schedules, and holding them accountable

* Hiring and training new retail associates

* Provide coaching and feedback to sales team

* Helping employees create and achieve goals through monthly reviews and development plans

* Building a fun and engaging culture within your team that promotes trust, honesty, and transparency

* Creatively motivating employees, celebrating shared achievements, and recognizing individual growth

* Managing store operations such as closing and opening procedures, store appearance, and store cleanliness

* Recording and keeping accurate cash count and customer credit

* Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for employees and customers

* Supporting store manager in the execution of business growth plans and financial goals

* Managing incoming product, inventory, and merchandising

* Assisting in running gaming events

**We are looking for:**

* 3+ years of retail experience

* 1+ year of retail management experience

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Excellent relationship builder

* Positive and enthusiastic

* Desire to learn and grow

* Able to work 45 hours a week including nights & weekends

* Able to comfortably lift 30lbs on a regular basis and stand for 95% of the workday
