We are now interviewing for a full time, temporary Accounts Payable Specialist for a local company in Chippewa Falls to work now into February 2024. Do you have experience with Accounts Payable and other financial duties and tasks?
POSITION – Administrative Assistant/Customer Service Representative
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, Wisconsin
STARTING DATE – Immediately
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temporary, now into February 2024
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (Days, Monday-Friday)
STARTING PAY – $18-22/hour DOE
BENEFITS - Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, paid time off, referral bonus program
REQUIRED EDUCATION – Associate degree in Accounting or similar field required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1-2 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or closely related field.
Due to anticipated upcoming leaves of absence we are seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with department duties. This individual will work on-site in Chippewa Falls, WI, and analyze and process information to ensure accurate, timely and efficient payments to vendors.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the Accounts Payable email box.
2. Reconcile external vendor statements and internal unmatched inventory report.
3. Communicate discrepancies and resolutions to vendors and internal parties.
4. Enter accounts payable vendor invoices.
5. Process or assist with weekly payment runs, ensuring that bank transactions are accurate.
6. Assist in monthly general ledger closings, specifically by ensuring that Cash and Accounts Payable are reconciled.
7. Maintain vendor files and compliance with laws and regulations.
8. Identify and assist with implementing process improvements.
9. Provide backup assistance to other accounting functions as necessary.
10. Maintain a working knowledge of financial statements and reports.
11. Assist with audits as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially in using Excel spreadsheets.
2. Ability to maintain 100% confidentiality; including, but not limited to the sharing or release of information within the finance department and/or any co-worker who doesn’t have clearance.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication.
4. Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
5. Associate Degree in Accounting or closely related field.
6. 1-2 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or closely related field.
7. Experience with various ERP systems.
