Position – (Building Automation Application Programmer - Field Engineer)
Title: Application Programmer - Field Engineer
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Reporting Manager: Operations Manager
Responsibilities -
A key member of Electronic System Services, Inc., the Application Programmer will be responsible for providing turnkey design development and execution of all graphical user interfaces and Direct Digital Control Logic for HVAC Automation projects, to include:
o Review of project specifications, drawings and project specific documents to establish project intent.
o Breakdown of scope of work into manageable segments and post to Project team and Project Manager for scheduling.
o Attend or receive meeting minutes from graphical review meeting with customer. The direction of this meeting will outline the caliber of project specific graphics to be provided.
o Posting of project programming specific “Request for Information” (RFI) documentation to Application Engineer and Project Manager.
o Based upon schedule of requirements, follow the sequence of operations as required by project documents and engineered sequence of operation, utilizing established standards to produce your user interface and associate DDC Code.
o Production of project specific as-builts based upon initial project construction drawings and field modification mark-ups.
o Cooperation in the establishment and enforcement of engineering and programming standards.
o Maintain the highest quality and customer satisfaction on all projects.
Qualifications -
o Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science is desired.
o Two (2) years’ experience with the production of DDC / BAS systems engineering.
o Experience with Tridium and Alerton preferred.
o Understanding of mechanical HVAC equipment preferred.
o Understanding of electrical and network wiring preferred.
o Understanding of standard BAS components and programming of these components preferred.
o Excellent computer skills and intimate familiarity with MS-Office products (Word, Excel, Access). We would like you to have some AutoCAD, Visual Basic, Visio and Alerton/Tridium product experience.
o Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
o You must have a valid driver’s license from the State of Florida
o Able to pass random drug testing as ESSI is a drug-free workplace.
o Able to pass background check per Jessica Lungsford Act for schools.
