Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer credit accounts, assessing creditworthiness, and ensuring timely collections. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining a healthy cash flow and minimizing credit risks for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Assessment:

    • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
    • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to make informed credit decisions.
    • Establish credit limits based on the assessment of each customer's financial stability.
  2. Collections Management:

    • Monitor and manage customer accounts receivables to ensure timely payments.
    • Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
    • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address billing issues and resolve customer disputes.
  3. Risk Mitigation:

    • Identify potential credit risks and propose strategies to mitigate them.
    • Regularly review and update credit policies and procedures to align with industry standards and company goals.
  4. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and collection efforts.
    • Generate and analyze reports on credit and collections performance for management review.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Credit and Collections Analyst or in a similar financial role.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound credit decisions.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  5. Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  6. Knowledge of credit laws and regulations.
