Description

POSITION TITLE: Dietary Cashier Aide

Department: Nutritional Services

Reports to: Food Production Manager, Food Production Superviosr, Director of Nutritional Services, Cheif Practice Management Officer

Date: 3-8-2002, 5-14-2020, 9/15/2022

Mission of Department:

To provide attractive, nutritious, cost effective meals to meet the Nutritional and therapeutic

needs of those we serve.

Purpose of Position:

To manage the cafeteria and cash register rea. Aide in the nutritional services as needed, prepare snacks, and misc. food tems.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for the cash register, restocking the cafetera rea, making the second choice and soup of the day.
  • Preparing snacks
  • Assists with dishes
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas.
  • Performs other cleaning jobs as scheduled or necessary.
  • Helps the cooks as needed.

Requirements

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for reporting equipment needs or repairs to the supervisor.
  • Responsible for following Scott County Hospital policy and safety procedures.
  • Responsible for any other duties, shifts, or positions requested by the supervisor.


Education, Qualifications, Experience:

High School education or equivalent preferred.

Personal Characteristics:

Well groomed, neat, good personal hygiene, courtesy, honesty, dependability, integrity, interest

and pride in work are required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • The ability to work independently and to work cooperatively with others.
  • Considerable initiative, judgment, and decision making skills are required.

Expectation of Service: This is a non-exempt 40 hour per week position. Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

  • Ability to taste and smell.
  • Ability to handle moderat to heavy lifting.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and sit or stand for long periods of time.
