Sodexo is seeking a full-time Clinical Nutrition Manager to come join their dynamic team at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Broadlawns Medical Center has an average census of 90-110 patients and strives to build a healthy community in which there is accessible, cost-effective and high-quality patient care for all.  This is a fun position that gets to be involved in a little bit of everything:  inpatient and outpatient care, providing guidance to the call center staff and programming the patient menu software.

The successful candidate will:

• manage the clinical nutrition program within Broadlawns Medical Center:
• provide nutritional care to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings;
• program the patient menu software (training is provided);
• guidance to the call center staff on diet education;
• Meet state/federal/Joint Commission and company standards;
• educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and
• participate in Process Improvement projects.

• be a Registered Dietitian with acute care experience and demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base;
• have proven supervisory or management experience with an aptitude for program growth and development;
• strong verbal and written communication skills;
• good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player; and
• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

[Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required]

 

Basic Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Basic Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners

 

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
