Business Management Trainee

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking aBusiness Management Trainee for our Mid-Atlantic North team. You will assist senior leadership with special projects to enhance the growth of the company. This individual will have extensive training to better understand the challenges Triumvirate faces. From this, said individual will have developed critical skills to engage, empower and help implement process changes within Triumvirate.

This position reports to theGeneral Manager. This role is based onsite at the client company and in office. You will report out of our office in Glen Burnie, MD.

How the Trainee program works:

The first 6 months...

  • This individual will get hands-on experience by working 4 to 6 months in the field working alongside industry professionals to understand Triumvirate's business model and services.

6 months and beyond...

  • This individual will then work alongside senior leadership from various departments across many functions of the business including but not limited to: Operations, Logistics, Consulting, Sales, Technical Services, Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, Transportation, Marketing, and other departments.

After the trainee program...

  • After learning many aspects of our business and developing your skillset, the next step in your career is defined by you. We have seen Trainee's from this program move on to our Sales, Talent Acquisition, Cost Recovery, Operations Leadership, and many other roles. The next step is not a linear path, it's dynamic, and you will have strong career succession planning from leadership to get you there.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Learn from industry experts by spending 4 to 6 months in the field acquiring an understanding of Triumvirate's various services
  • Assist an Executive, Director or a Senior Manager with special business projects pertaining to many facets of the organization
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes to grow the company
  • Collaborate with various departments to provide quality deliverables
  • Assist in the orchestration of a smooth running and efficient environment
  • Build and maintain positive relationships and rapport with internal employees and external associates
  • Expand upon your knowledge and skills to become an asset to the company for future career opportunities

Basic Requirements:

  • Recent college graduate with a Bachelors' degree required, a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental, or Liberal Arts preferred
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Safety Sensitive Position (during the field work phase of the program)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborator with the ability to interface with all levels of management within and outside the company
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
